Time to really get into our hockey pre-season phase! Come and join us on the turf, this month Tuesday nights summer hockey continues, Wednesday skill sessionshave begun, our annual club opening game day - "Stronger Together" (11th March) is being organised, We also have our official turf Opening (25th March). For those new to our club, the event was postponed last year due to COVID!
Please take a note of the dates for your diary, click the links to register for teams and your attendance to events, it really helps your committee to plan events.
Time to join a team! Look up all your team info for training times, (team night and extra skills session options). Payment plans and Kidsport are all available through our website - tell your friends!

The Margaret River Lions donated $1,500 as a Community Grant

Thanks to the awesome volunteers that helped out for our club busy bee at the Busselton Hockey Stadium. Each year we are tasked with some tidy up jobs in preparation for the new season. This Saturday, it's the annual memorial match for my Dad and Stuart "Scar" Campbell and Wes Battese. It's when our families catch up with the Margaret River players past and present.
This year, myself and Nicole (Batesse) got more involved in the planning of the day. As time goes by, it means a lot to us to get together at this event. Through our meetings of planning, we realised how much other club members have on their plates, with anxiety, depression, stress. Mental health means a lot of different things to different people.
So from that chat, this event (that was called "Scarred For Life" ) got a name change. We decided to call it "Stronger Together". We do need to be there for each other and this is a good event to be able to do that.
It means a lot to us to play and catch up with old friends, players that new Dad, Scar and Wes. It's also a good time to watch and enjoy playing hockey, the game that unites us all.
So come and join us on Saturday, we are fundraising for a great mental health program for our youngsters (Zero2hero).
