Coaches & Team Managers
Help our players enjoy their hockey
Our Coaches and Team Managers play an enormous role in creating a positive experience for our players.
Whether you're an experienced coach, a former player or a parent thinking "I could probably help with that", we'd love to hear from you.
You don't need to have all the answers before you start. There are excellent education resources available, and experienced club members can help you along the way.
Coaching
Coaching is a fantastic way to stay involved in hockey and give something back to the next generation of players.
Our coaches help:
Develop skills and confidence
Create positive and inclusive team environments
Encourage teamwork and good sportsmanship
Prepare players for games
Help players enjoy and develop their love of hockey
We particularly encourage our senior players to consider helping with junior coaching. Even assisting at occasional sessions can make a difference. We also attend junior hockey carnivals and run a hookin2hockey program which are excellent oportunities for our mature junior players to assist with coaching.
Coaching Resources
Hockey Australia and Hockey WA provide online coaching education, development opportunities and useful resources for coaches at all levels.
So if your hockey knowledge feels a little rusty — don't let that stop you!

We want to ensure our coaches are skilled up in the appropriate drills and principles required for the age group they are coaching. Coaches are encouraged to attend any courses that are organised through the club.

Team Managers
You don't need to coach to be an important part of a team.
Our Team Managers help keep communication flowing between players, parents, coaches and the club and assist with the practical organisation of game days.
It's a great role for someone who is organised, enjoys being involved with the team and wants to contribute without stepping onto the pitch as a coach.
Interested in coaching or managing?
Any upcoming coaching courses, workshops, or training opportunities will be listed on our Club Events Calendar.
THANK YOU
To all our Coaches and Team Managers
Your hours of dedication and effort to encourage players in all weathers really is appreciated!
