Club News - October

2021 Season Complete!

Well done teams for a great season

Congratulations to the four teams that made it to the Grand Finals.  Read all about the winners and check out all the smiles below.

Thanks to all those attending the Club Wind Up at Cowaramup Brewery

What a great turn out for our last day of the season - the club Wind Up!  The run up to the event  is always hectic, The committee have to coordinate the day..  There is the catering, communications with coaches, regarding awards and  trophies (including the new "perpetual" trophies). Requesting raffle prizes, collecting them and sorting them.  Reconciliation of our accounts, and closing of outstanding actions.   Special thanks to our committee members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this season and the Wind Up run smoothly!

Thank you also to our "senior" juniors for keeping our younger players (and siblings) busy in the garden prior to the award presentations.

The last club fundraiser for this year - the end of season Raffle!

Wow!  What great support from our local businesses.  Please take a look at the full list below of business and  support these businesses when you can.  Please let them know their support is appreciated by our club.  The Raffle raised over $1,000!  This money will be put to good use next season.

The Club AGM - great turnout - thanks for the support

With nearly 30 members in attendance and some great nominations for positions, the new board was elected.

BHA Summer Hockey competition starting soon!

Here's the last word from ...

A parent at the Club Wind Up

"I am really impressed with the club, the way that the older juniors are encouraged to help the younger juniors to learn to play, volunteer and generally help out.

It really sets the scene for the younger ones to one day also want to help out and to volunteer and to give back to the club.

Great Job Margaret River Hockey Club!
