Season 2023 Review & Club Wind-up

The 2023 season has been an enjoyable one for Margaret River Hockey Club in many ways. The excitement of our first full training season on the new turf (officially opened by Aran Zalewski in March), encouraged more players at all levels to come and try hockey, with our membership registrations increasing to 173! (That’s not including our life members).

With regards to new uniforms, we now have the Year 6-8 boys and girls teams wearing the new style (senior) team shirts. We also took the opportunity to expand our club apparel with a teal training shirt (for 2023/24). It was great to see the teal and yellow on the field and worn by many proud supporters on the sidelines too.

Many of our teams made it to the semi finals, and the Year 6-8 boys were crowned premiers! Congratulations Boys!

Well done to all our players, for the effort and teamwork displayed by you all, both on and off the pitch.

This year our end of season club wind-up and awards event was at the Margaret Mens Shed and the turf.  Thanks to our committee and additional volunteers who made the event a great way to celebrate our team wins, our awards and fit in a little bit of club business with our Annual General Meeting too! (Click here for season review/report).

Thanks everyone who attended and supported, you have made our season and our hockey club what it is today.
