What a beautiful event! Our Long Table Lunch was such a success, with wonderful feedback from everyone who attended. In fact, this might just become a seasonal event on our club calendar!
With members from all three senior teams, along with partners and friends, coming together for an afternoon of good food and great company, Chef Botond had planned a feast for us – and he certainly delivered!
The weather held out beautifully, and with bubbles on arrival, we settled into our private deck overlooking the stunning surroundings. From there, it was a continuous flow of delicious dishes, plenty of laughs, great banter and the chance to simply kick back and enjoy each other's company away from a hockey turf.
And surprisingly, hockey barely got a mention! Well, that was until Wally appeared, rattling his trusty petty cash tin in search of donations towards our new change rooms. All in good jest, of course!
A huge THANK YOU to Chef Botond for organising such a special out-of-season event and treating us to such a wonderful afternoon.
The feedback was unanimous – we'd love to do it all again next year!
Great food, great friends and a fantastic reminder that our club is about so much more than just hockey.
